At the end of March, it was reported by Bob McKenzie from TSN that Islanders owner Charles B. Wang was negotiating to sell the Islanders.
Since that time it there has been a never ending cycle of speculation and such through Islander land including last weeks infamous "hack" of a NBC Sports Radio producer.
Well, today's sale rumor comes from Craig Carton of the Boomer and Carton show on WFAN Radio. This morning on their broadcast, Carton said on air that he was told that the Islanders sale is done and will be announced after the Stanley Cup Finals end.
This isn't the first rumor of this nature as there have been many similar ones regarding the sale especially recently. Sooner or later you have to think that where there is smoke there is fire. Lucky for us, it doesn't appear as though we will have to wait much longer to find out.
