According to a new report tonight from Tony Stabile at hockey this week, a sale of the Islanders by owner Charles Wang is close to completion and could be finished as early as this summer.
Stabile went on to say that he was told that the perspective new owner has offered jobs within the organization to former Islanders players should the sale be finalized and 1 player has accepted a position.

This isn't the first time I have heard that a sale could be completed as soon as the summer so hearing this from someone else is very encouraging.
