CBA: Critical Dates For the New Season

Although the CBA has yet to be ratified, here are some of the critical dates for a shortened NHL season as of now from John Shannon of sportsnet:

• Season Opener January 19th
• Trade Deadline April 3rd
• Season Ends April 27th
• Playoff Start May 1st
• Could go as long as June 28th with some speculation being if that happens there could be a massive one day draft in New Jersey at the Prudential Center on June 30th.

Of course, without the new CBA ratified these dates are all subject to change.  But as of now it sounds like this is what the season will look like.
