According to multiple reports, at a NHL board of governors meeting in NYC this afternoon, the NHL BOG voted to ratify the new collective bargaining agreement agreed to by Gary Bettman and Don Fehr early this past Sunday morning.

Now, on Friday/Saturday reports suggest it will be the players turn to vote. Assuming the players ratify the CBA as well, then training camp would open on Sunday. The regular season would then start six days later on January 19th with all 30 NHL teams in action on that day.
