According to islanderspointblank.com NIFA at their meeting today discussed the plan for the development of a New Nassau Coliseum & Minor League ballpark through a 400 million dollar referendum to be voted on August 1st. According to Corey Witt who was point blanks eyes at the meeting today he quoted a NIFA director not named George Marlin as saying that they wouldn't take a formal position of for or against until after the vote because they want to see if the public as an "appetite" for a tax increase that this will bring.
