Anders Lee Named NHL Rookie of the Month

Today, it was announced that Islanders rookie Anders Lee was named NHL Rookie of the Month for February.
Lee had 15 points in 15 games in February including two games where he netted two goals.  Lee has really excelled playing on the left wing of John Tavares over the last few weeks and is making a late run for rookie of the year consideration.  Even if he fails to get nominated though, that won't take away from the fact that he has had a very solid rookie season and has shown himself to be a key member of the Islanders for years to come.

We here at savetheisles would like to congratulate Lee on this accolade and hope it isn't the last one he gets this season.
