Isles Acquire Nick Leddy & Johnny Boychuk

Today, the Islanders sent the NHL world on its ear as they acquired Nick Leddy from the Blackhawks and Johnny Boychuk from the Bruins.

The Islanders sent a 2015 second round pick, 2016 second round pick, and a conditional 2015 third round pick to the Bruins for Boychuk.

The Islanders then sent Anders Nilsson, Ville Pokka, and TJ Brennan to the Blackhawks in exchange for Nick Leddy and goalie Kent Simpson.  Simpson was acquired as insurance in case David Leggio or Kevin Poulin are claimed on waivers.
