Islanders Cut Roster Down To 30

Also today, the Islanders announced more cuts as they look to set their final roster for next Fridays season opener.

11 players were sent directly to Bridgeport, meanwhile, five were put on waivers with the intentions of them going to Bridgeport.

Among those sent directly to Bridgeport were forward Sebastian Collberg and defenseman Scott Mayfield.  The five players exposed to waivers are, Kevin Poulin, David Leggio, Harry Zolnierczyk, Jack Skille, and Aaron Ness, Newsday reports.
