Financing Details Emerge About Ratners Coliseum Plan

Earlier today, it was reported by NetsDaily.com that Nets owner Mikhail Prokhorov was in discussions with Guggenheim Sports and Entertainment Assets who bought the Dodgers last year about combining their assets.  Prokhorov will remain the majority owner of the Nets in any deal, according to NetsDaily.

NetsDaily is also reporting that Guggenheim has ties to the Nets/Barclays Center already as they will be financing Bruce Ratners 229 million dollar Nassau Coliseum project including the redevelopment of the Coliseum.  Ratner is the majority owner of Barclays Center and minority owner of the Nets.  Prokhorov's ONEXIM Sports and Entertainment will be an investor in the Coliseum, according to the report.

Told the Guggenheim is also financing Ratner's rehab of Nassau Coliseum. So lots of connections to Nets ownership
