As the draft wound down tonight, the Islanders surprised some people as they traded back into the bottom of the first round.
They traded 2 second round picks to the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for the 28th overall pick. Ironically, this pick initially belonged to the New York Rangers. The Rangers traded it to the Lightning in the Martin St Louis trade.
With the pick, the Islanders selected forward Josh Ho-Sang.
