According to Newsday, defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky still has yet to be cleared to resume off ice activities.
Visnovsky has been out since suffering a concussion on October 19th against Carolina. The injury to Visnovsky has really thrown the Islanders defense into disarray not only at even strength but on the power play as well. Going into next season if Visnovsky is still around they need to make it so they don't have such a heavy reliance on him because now after having one concussion he is more apt to get another one.
Visnovsky being able to return would do wonders for the team as they seek to get back to winning after trending downward for the better part of the last two months. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem like it will happen anytime soon.
