Tonight, our Islanders continue their three game home-stand going head to head with the LA Kings.
The goalie match up tonight features Ben Scrivens for the Kings and Kevin Poulin for the Islanders.
It may came as surprise that the Kings will not be starting Jonathan Quick in the game tonight. Quick suffered a grade 2 groin strain and was sent back to LA a couple days ago. Scrivens was acquired over the summer as part of the trade that sent Jonathan Bernier to the Leafs.
The Islanders will be icing the same lineup tonight as they did in Tuesday's 3-1 win against Nashville. That means forward Thomas Vanek will miss a 4th game in a row after suffering an injury over the teams road trip last week.
