According to the New York Post, Bruce Ratner, the majority owner of the Barclays Center is expected to place a bid on developing the Nassau Coliseum and forming a partnership with Donald Monti.
This is coming after Ratner was hired by Nassau County in a consultants role to help them find out if the Coliseum could be a viable venue in this area. The new Coliseum would cut the capacity of the arena from around 16,200 to between 8,000-10,000 according to the Post.
Ratner will have competition for the development as places like Live Nation and AEG are expected to place bids as well.
