Politician Attends Home Opener After Making Fun Of The Team

If you remember, back on January 8th, Nassau County Comptroller George Maragos made headlines after telling local papers that the county would've been better off if the NHL lockout hadn't ended because bigger draws could've went to the Coliseum.

Well, tonight, the comptroller amongst the people and team he made fun of not even two weeks prior, attended the home opener tonight "cheering" for the Islanders.

It will be nice when we move to Brooklyn to know that the people in power actually want us there and don't just act like it.
