Tonight, our Islanders fell by a score of 3-1. Here are some of my notes:
-The power play had another night to forget. While they did occasionally get some pressure, their overall performance was underwhelming.
-This is quite contrary to the penalty kill which had a solid night.
-Save for one mistake, Neuvirth was pretty spot on tonight.
-That one mistake was pretty bad though. How after all the times Halak has done the same thing, it can be allowed to happen yet again is a concerning sign.
With how close the standings are, this isn't a very good time to lose three straight. The sooner the Islanders can get back in the win column the better.
