Isles Move Hamonic to IR, Pulock Recalled

Update: According to Newsday, Ryan Pulock will be joining the Islanders tomorrow.  It had been said that they wouldn't call him up unless it would potentially be for long term so this isn't a good sign for Boychuk/Hamonic.  However, after a stellar performance in the AHL to this point, it seems like Pulock has really earned this.  

It will be interesting to see how Pulock fares in NHL action.

According to reports, the Islanders have put defenseman Travis Hamonic on IR retroactive to 12/2.  Hamonic was hurt in the Islanders victory over Ottawa on Tuesday after taking a hit from the Senators Chris Neil.

When it rains, it pours for the Islanders as the teams defense is dropping like flies.  With Visnovsky joining the team at practice today, it seems like they are at least getting a little bit healthier which is encouraging.
