Tonight, our Islanders look to end their two game losing streak as they travel to the "shark tank" in San Jose to take on Joe Pavelski and the Sharks.
The goalie match up tonight features Jaroslav Halak back between the pipes for the Islanders. Meanwhile, Antti Niemi will be in net for the Sharks.
Coming off their recent loses, the Islanders made some lineup changes for tonight, according to reports. The biggest change being the return of Travis Hamonic. Hamonic will take Brian Straits spot in the lineup and be paired with Calvin de Haan. The Cory Conacher experiment on the first line also appears to be over as Brock Nelson will be dressing on that line tonight alongside Tavares and Okposo. The one big oddity of the lineup to me is Matt Martin playing with Ryan Strome and Anders Lee. Martin has the potential to hold that line back much like Conacher was doing to the first line rather than helping them excel.
#Isles lines at practice: 29-91-21, 84-51-86, 17/36-18-27, 89-53-15.
