Tonight, our Islanders defeated the Bruins by a score of 5-3 to give them a 4-1 record so far this pre season. Here are some of my notes from the game:
-Good to see Brennan get on the board tonight!
-Seems like Tavares and Okposo are shaking the rust off which is good to see.
-Tonight was not Matt Donovans finest game, he will need a great rebound game to keep himself out of Bridgeport to start the season.
-Poulin had an up and down game but overall seemed to be satisfactory.
-Conacher seemed to fit well on the LW of Tavares. He had success riding shotgun as a rookie for Stamkos and St Louis in Tampa so he has experience playing with high level players like Tavares.
Good to see the people at be finally ended up getting the message and gave the fans a chance to watch the third period after shutting them out from the first two. As was noted on the post game show, the Islanders exhibited a good push in the third period and kept on going instead of hanging their heads after blowing the two goal lead.
Next Game: Thursday @ New Jersey
