Pre Game: Isles @ Red Wings

Tonight, our Islanders travel to Detroit for their last game before their brief holiday break to take on Pavel Datsyuk and the Detroit Red Wings.

The goalie match up tonight features Evgeni Nabokov between the pipes once again for the Islanders.  Meanwhile, Jonas Gustavsson will get the start for Detroit while Jimmy Howard is on IR recovering from an injury.

The Islanders are making a couple lineup changes tonight after they blew yet another third period lead on Saturday against the Ducks.  Forward Colin McDonald will return to the lineup after being a healthy scratch the last couple games.  Defenseman Aaron Ness will also return to the lineup after being a healthy scratch for the teams loss on Saturday.  To make room for them in the lineup both Matt Carkner and Eric Boulton will join Peter Regin as the teams healthy scratches.  When Capuano was asked about the lineup he told Newsday, "Listen, we're in last place so no one should be arguing about who's in and who's out at this particular time."
