Tonight, our Islanders dropped their 9th straight game to the Kings being shutout 3-0 by their third string goalie Martin Jones. Here are some of my notes from the game:
-There wasn't many positives to take from this game, but one of the few was the play of Calvin de Haan who looked very good tonight.
-First half of the game was a solid effort by us but the team just can't buy a goal right now. After how successful we were earlier in the year scoring this lack of scoring has come out of no where.
-Poulin didn't do bad tonight he did what you ask of your goalie.
-The defense wasn't the main reason we lost tonight which is good.
-Brock Nelson was pretty good in his return to the lineup tonight and should continue to play over Regin who had no points in his last 17 games coming into tonight.
Next Game: Monday @ Anaheim 10PM
