Tonight, our Islanders dropped their 10th game in a row by a score of 5-2 to the Ducks. Frustrations for the team really boiled over late in the third period. At that point, defensemen Matt Carkner was being escorted off the ice after a scrum with Ducks forward Saku Koivu. On his way down the tunnel, Carkner can be seen on camera exchanging words with a Ducks fan.
Overall, tonight was very much like the Kings game a couple nights ago. The team came out and played well for a portion of the game early on. However, as the game went on that play just went away and the Ducks this time just took control. It was good to see the first line put up a couple goals at least tonight.
