According to Bob McKenzie from TSN on the show "the quiz" yesterday, he feels the Islanders are the most likely landing spot for Martin Brodeur should the Devils trade him this season.
A couple days ago reports came out that Brodeur would consider waiving his NTC to go to a contender should the Devils fall out of the race by the trade deadline.
I have mixed feelings on Brodeur. On one hand I think we need an upgrade in net because Poulin is uncertain and Nabokov at this stage just doesn't cut it as a starter. The thing is, looking at Brodeurs stats the last few years I am not sure he is cut out to be a number one goalie anymore either. If we were to get him it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world, however, I am not sure it would solve the teams issues even for the rest of this year.
