This year for Bridgeport, Ness has registered 1 goal and 3 assists in 9 games. In 167 games in the AHL, Ness has registered 65 points. Ness was also called up to the Islanders 2 years ago for a 9 game stint in which he registered 0 points.
Matt Donovan is a game time decision tonight which could open up a spot for Ness. However, if Donovan can go then Ness is expected to take Carkner's spot.

While I am not wild about Ness, having him in the lineup over Carkner would be a welcomed change.
