Tonight, our Islanders concluded yet another road trip without getting a point dropping tonight's game 5-2 to the Flyers. Here are some of my notes:
-The Flyers third goal was just predictable, you knew with how bad our penalty kill has been that they weren't killing two in a row.
-For all the praise Doug Weight has been given about the PP in the past, I think he needs to earn it again because the power play has been pretty bad for the better part of the last month.
-Good to see Boulton actually get on the board with a goal tonight.
-Great pass by Vanek to set up Tavares.
-Surprised Bouchard got scratched over Bailey tonight. I have been super critical of Bouchard here, however, recently I absolutely think he has bought more to the games then Bailey has.
-Hickey will be evaluated tomorrow by team doctors and if hes out long term Newsday reports a move might have to be made. It was reported by Newsday a couple days ago that Garth had been engaging in typical trade discussions looking for defensemen but the prices were to high. Hickey left the game after blocking a shot late in the second period.
Although this month started off promising, this has turned into a typical Islanders November and shows no signs of improving anytime in the near future.
Next Game: Wednesday (Thanksgiving Eve) @ Home Vs The Jets
