Tonight, the Islanders conclude their Florida road trip with a game against the Florida Panthers. A win by the Islanders in this game would give them sole possession of 9th place in the conference ahead of the Rangers.
The goalie matchup tonight features Evgeni Nabokov making his 9th start in a row for the Islanders. The Panthers starter for tonight has yet to be announced.
For the Islanders, with David Ullstrom out, Colin McDonald will be rejoining the lineup after missing Thursdays game because of an illness. Jesse Joensuu still isn't ready to go, so enforcer Eric Boulton will once again be in the lineup. Everything else will be the same as it was Thursday.
For the Panthers, newly acquired defenseman TJ Miller will be in their starting lineup. The Panthers acquired Miller a couple days ago from the Sabres in exchange for a 2013 5th round pick.
