Pre Game: Isles @ Rangers

For the second time in a week, our Islanders travel to MSG to take on Brad Richards and the rival Rangers.

After last weeks pathetic showing and their recent struggles, it would make sense to expect the Islanders to come out quick tonight.  The fact that management so far hasn't punched them in the stomach with a sham trade pre game can only help matters as well.

The goalie matchup tonight will feature Marty Biron for the Rangers, and Evgeni Nabokov will return between the pipes for the Islanders after Rick Dipietro got the start Monday.

Forward David Ullstrom and defenseman Thomas Hickey will be scratched tonight for the Islanders being replaced by Joe Finley and Eric Boulton.  On his reasoning for this, Capuano said he felt they were out muscled a lot last week.  Both of these guys played in the game last week though so that doesnt make much sense on his part.  Adding size to the lineup is a good thing, but both of these guys especially Finley are liabilities when they are on the ice so this move doesnt make much sense to me.

For the Rangers Brian Boyle will return to the lineup tonight and young forward Chris Kreider will be scratched to make room for him.
