According to multiple reports, the NHL & NHLPA have come to a tentative agreement ending the NHL lockout which was beginning its 114th day.

Federal mediator Scot L. Beckenbaugh really saved the process in the last few days by acting as a bridge between the players and the owners before having them come together for a meeting yesterday afternoon.

Alot of I's and T's need to be crossed according to Gary Bettman, however, a 50 or 48 game season is on the horizon to start no later then January 19th.  Speculation yesterday was that the Islanders could open up at home against the Rangers.

More updates of course as the news breaks.
