Tavares Named 2nd Star of the Month

According to reports, Islanders captain John Tavares was named 2nd star of the month in the NHL for January.

Tavares had 16 points in 12 games in January as the Islanders closed the month in first place in their division.  Additionally, Tavares tied the record for most goals in an all star game scoring 4 on January 25th.  He was the first player to score 4 goals in an all star game and not be awarded the MVP award.
