Isles Fall To Caps in Shootout

This afternoon, our Islanders fell 3-2 to the Capitals in a shootout.  Here are some of my notes:

-If you look up the definition of a hard fought point you will find the box score to todays game.  Both teams really didn't give each other much to work with.

-The team showed a little of what it was made of getting the tying goal late in the third after surrendering the go ahead goal with 5 minutes remaining.

-Another solid start for Chad Johnson today.  If he has finally found his game, that could prove to be huge for the Islanders down the stretch.

Coming in, this game expected to be tough and it certainly lived up to the bill.  For the team to come out of this game with a point while isn't perfect is satisfactory.  It doesn't get easier for them with Vancouver coming to the Coliseum tomorrow evening.

Next Game: Tomorrow 6:00 vs Vancouver
