Isles Dominate Jackets in 5-2 Victory

Tonight, our Islanders defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets in dominating fashion by a score of 5-2.  Here are some of my notes from the game:

-While he wasn't tested that much, Chad Johnson played pretty good tonight.

-Nice effort by Anders Lee on the winning goal, nice little move as well to fake out Bobrovsky.

-Brian Strait with a multi point game tonight, who knows when we will see that again.

-Good to see Okposo get rewarded with a goal.  He had a jump in his step all night.

-Excellent job by Ryan Strome setting up Martin for his goal.  He displayed tremendous vision and skill on that play.

The Islanders scored 5 goals tonight and not one was by John Tavares.  Even though he didn't score, the captain had another solid game after taking over Fridays game in Jersey.  Being able to put that many to the back of the net without contribution from the captain says something about this team.

Next Game: Tuesday @ MSG
