According to reports, Islanders forward Anders Lee surprisingly escaped suspension for his hit on Blues defenseman Carl Gunnarsson.
While he did escape suspension, he didn't escape penalty altogether as he was fined $2286.29 which is the maximum he is able to be fined under the CBA.
I actually think the league got this one right which surprises me greatly. Normally, especially when it comes to the Islanders this would've been an automatic suspension.
