Isles Place Conacher on Waivers

Earlier today, it was reported by Arthur Staple from Newsday that the Islanders had placed forward Cory Conacher on waivers.

Conacher, who signed a 1 year deal with the Islanders over the summer had 3 points in 15 games thus far this season.

To me, it seemed as though it was only a matter of time before this happened.  Especially after last night when the team dressed Eric Boulton coming off injury rather than putting Conacher in the lineup.  Hopefully, this is a sign that the Islanders are getting healthy, because if the last few games are any indication, they desperately need Hamonic and Boychuk back.
