Isles Get Revenge On Avs In 6-0 Victory

Last night, our Islanders were able to get some revenge on the Colorado Avalanche as they defeated them by a score of 6-0.  Here are some of my notes from the game:

-Another great performance from Jaroslav Halak who seems to have hit his stride after a rough October.

-Good to see Strome and Cizikas get their first ones out of the way.

-Nice goal by Kulemin as well, he hasn't scored often but both his goals have been at big points of their respective games.

-Impressive defensive effort yet again from the Islanders.

-Nice finish from Lee on his goal, making the goalie pay for his mistake.

After a poor start to yet another November, Islander fans were becoming antsy fearing that they were on the precipice of another November swoon.  However, the Islanders have rebounded and are now playing their best hockey of the season.  The next week and a half will be a real test for the team as they face the Lightning and the Penguins twice.  The two matches with the Penguins will likely decide who will occupy first place in the division.

Next Game: Friday 7:30 @ the Panthers
