This afternoon, Martin Brodeur and the New Jersey Devils travel to the Coliseum to take on Kyle Okposo and our Islanders.
The goalie match up today features Brodeur for the Devils and Evgeni Nabokov for the Islanders.
There is growing speculation that today could be Brodeur's last game with the Devils as the March 5th trade deadline approaches.
The Islanders lineup will be the same as it was for Thursday's 5-4 OT win over Toronto.
Isles Defeat Toronto 5-4 in OT
On Thursday night, our Islanders defeated the Leafs in a back and forth game by a score of 5-4 in OT.
The two main stories of the game were Michael Grabner scoring the fastest pair of shorthanded goals for the Islanders since 1999. Additionally, Anders Lee scoring two goals in his first game of the season.
For a change, it was nice to see the team be able to fight back after giving up a third period lead instead of crumbling like a wet paper towel like what usually happens in those situations
