Okposo Leads Isles Over Sabres 4-1

Last night, our Islanders defeated the Buffalo Sabres by a score of 4-1.  Here are some of my notes from the game:

-Kyle Okposo is proving something here down the stretch continuing his production at the pace its been when he's now without Tavares & Vanek.  He has now gotten himself to 4th in the NHL in scoring.  It's been one of the few bright spots of this season getting to see him become the player we all hoped he would be.

-Solid game from Strome, good to see him put one to the back of the net.

-Anders Lee continues to put up the points, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he is given the chance to be the first line left wing next season.

-Good effort from Nilsson, I know its Buffalo but it is good for him to get some confidence back after struggling in his last few starts.

It was good for the team to get the win, but it still is Buffalo so not much solace should be taken from this victory.

Next Game: Tuesday @ Home Vs Minnesota
