Last night, our Islanders after getting out to an early 4-0 lead managed to hang on for the 5-4 victory. Here are some of my notes from the game:
-It doesn't make any sense to me how seemingly start after start we are able to notice the same issues with Nilsson in net but nothing ever changes. For someone as tall as he is he makes himself small in the net way to easy.
-Good to see Martin and McDonald put a few each to the back of the net, should give them confidence down the stretch.
-After having a pretty good first few games in the NHL, last night was Kevin Czuczman's first rough game up here.
-Special teams really struggled last night, after excelling on the penalty kill for a while that all went away last night giving up a couple power play goals.
-Great pass by Strome to set up Martin on his second goal.
Next Game: Tomorrow Night 7:30PM @ Tampa Bay
