Isles Defeat Devils 2-1 In Rare Home Victory

Tonight, our Islanders outlasted the Devils and ended up being victorious 2-1 in a shootout.  This win marked just the 12th time the team has won in front of the home crowd this season.  Here are some of my notes from the game:

-Compared to his recent stretch of games, Nilsson was pretty solid tonight.  I don't know what it is about the Devils but he always seems to play pretty well against them.

-Solid game by Kevin Czuczman, the kid has shown some offensive instincts which I didn't expect to see from him.

-Good to see Nielsen continuing to put up points even with the rash of injuries we have had to endure recently.

-Frans Nielsen & Brock Nelson made Cory Schneider look very bad in the shootout.  Nielsen seems to have added a wrinkle to his patented forehand back hand move and it appears to be paying off for him.

-The team came out hitting tonight as they threw their bodies around early and often tonight.

These kids are really putting everything out there game in and game out and the results are showing.

Next Game: Tuesday @ Home VS Florida
