Tonight, our Islanders travel to Ottawa to take on Jason Spezza and the Ottawa Senators. This years Ottawa team will look a little different then ones of years past as Jason Spezza is now the team captain after Daniel Alfredsson departed for Detroit over the summer. Alfredsson had been with Ottawa since the 95/96 season.
The goalie matchup tonight features Evgeni Nabokov for the Islanders and Robin Lehner for the Senators.
Tonight, the Islanders will be icing the same lineup as they did in Tuesdays loss against the Rangers. Following that game, coach Jack Capuano was pretty clear on the possibility of changes being made after the struggles the team experienced. The fact that none were made is a little bit surprising to me. I am curious to see how long of a rope the current group has before more changes are made.
