According to a tweet from Brett Yormark, the CEO of the Nets and the Barclays Center, more than 5,000 tickets have been sold for the Islanders Devils pre season game at the Barclays Center September 21st.
That may not seem like a lot, but you have to remember the arenas capacity for hockey is only 14,500 so that is nearly half the building and it is only May.
If you recall, the Islanders and Devils were supposed to play there last October but the game was canceled by the NHL lockout last year.
