Tonight, our Islanders dropped their third consecutive game to the Penguins by a score of 4-2. Here are some of my notes:
-I have never seen a team struggle in the third period as much as we do. The biggest shame is nothing will be done to fix it!
-Nice fight by Martin, he really put a spanking on Adams!
-Weak game from Nabokov, he has to stop that second goal! Especially with under a minute left in the period, he can't let that one get through him.
Well, the Ottawa meltdown Tuesday was a bad omen for this team as they have done what most thought they would after blowing that game and that is lose the following two. This team still being in contention can't find ways to win at home. Instead of doing that, they find ways to lose which is concerning. With tonights loss, there record at home dropped to 5-11-2. Playoff teams don't have record on home ice that look like that. Barring something unforeseen, it seems like it maybe another year for the team in the old barn in Hempstead.
Next Game: Sunday @ 5:00PM Vs the Panthers
