Nino/Donovan Named AHL All Stars

According to reports, this season the Bridgeport Sound Tigers will have two players representing them in Rhode Island for the All Star Game on January 27th/28th.  Last year it was forward Casey Cizikas who took the spot of injured defenseman Calvin De Haan.

Well this year, forward Nino Niederreiter and defenseman Matt Donovan were both given the honors.  Nino, who is currently sixth in the AHL in scoring has been rejuvenated with this season in the AHL after struggling terribly as a rookie in the NHL last season. 

Donovan, in his second pro season, while he has had some struggles has had a pretty good season thus far.  Especially on the offensive side of things! 

Its nice to see these guys get recognized for their play, and in both their cases I have a sense we will be seeing them on the Island sooner rather then later.
