According to the Islanders official twitter feed, forward Jesse Joensuu will be out another 5-7 weeks after undergoing sports hernia surgery.
If you remember, prior to the start of the season, Joensuu and Josh Bailey were both suspended by the team because they suffered injuries while playing in Europe during the lockout.
