photo courtesy of http://l.yimg.comAccording to reports, former Islanders goalie Rick Dipietro has signed an AHL tryout agreement with the Charlotte Checkers. The Checkers are the AHL affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes.
The Hurricanes seem to be turning to every angle they can think of after the news that franchise goalie Cam Ward would be out 3-4 weeks.
