According to Newsday, the Islanders activated Brian Strait off IR today. They also activated Joe Finley off IR.
Coach Jack Capuano said that he expects Strait to play again before the season ends in 13 days.

Getting Strait back would be big for the defense! Some would argue to not change anything in the lineup because of how well things are going. Although, if you remember Strait was arguably the Islanders most steady defenseman before getting hurt so its tough to not put him back in as soon as he is ready.
